Looking back up the road from the dock on Sherkin Island. To the left is the lovely Brid Marie, retired mussel farming boat, and beyond sits the ruins of an old stone cottage on the brow of the hill. Wild flowers line the road side and the sun shines warm and bright over this glimpse of bygone times.

Painted in oil using the palette knife to create a textured impasto.
