Cornflowers are one of my favourite flowers- I love all the different colours, and their simple beauty. We have them growing on the bank outside our kitchen window on Sherkin Island, and they flower all summer in abundance! Long-lasting in a vase too, in this painting I chose a yellow background like the bright Sherkin sunshine!
