This is a brightly coloured scene of boats moored in Hout Bay, South Africa. The strong blues and reds are reflected powerfully in the water, and the boats appear to bob sleepily under the sun. The masts merge with the mountainous backdrop, in a semi abstract way. Pattern becomes shape, and shape becomes reflection.
