All Courses are now held On-Line
Connect and create with family and friends at a weekend painting course from your home. All materials needed for the course will be posted out to you! Please see the Reviews page for lots of positive feedback! Suitable for beginner and intermediate painters.
This painting is taken from a scene in Glendalough is a glacial valley in County Wicklow, Ireland, renowned for an Early Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin. Autumn is a lovely time of year to paint, with fallen leaves and all the shades of reds, rusts, ochres and orange!
During the weekend workshop, we will each complete a painting on a canvas 16×20 inches, working from photographs and also a finished painting which I have prepared. I demonstrate each stage, as we go along explaining and analysing the techniques and colours that I have used. Participants then paint each stage step-by-step with me. There are up to 8 in the group and there will usually be a mixture of brush & palette knife.
The workshop is live on-line via Zoom from my studio near Killarney, Co Kerry.
It is aimed at beginner and intermediate level, and I like to focus on giving as much information on methods and techniques as possible, so that people have something to work with when painting afterwards.
Course Fee = €125 including all materials, €95 including the canvas only, €80 course only.
If you would like to purchase materials, please book in time to allow for delivery of materials.
If you need to cancel, it will be possible to transfer to a different course date up to two weeks ahead of the course only. Unfortunately, there are no cancellations less than two weeks prior to the course.
