Willie Fenwick’s house stands beside the road up from the dock on Sherkin. A well known landmark, standing strong, looking across to Baltimore Beacon and Roaring Water Bay, the Jolly Roger pub just visible up the road, the tall furze bushes casting shadows in the sun. This sweeping vista is timeless and so precious, so peaceful, so much part of Sherkin.
