Last autumn I went in search of the glowing colours of the season, as I always do!! The River Bandon is so beautiful around Innishannon, especially in autumn and I’ve done a few paintings from this area. So I took a side road, off the beaten track to see what I could find. I came upon this lovely hidden stream, magical and no doubt filled with faeries, it seemed to have an almost tropical glow about it, a pinky orange….I immediately took far too many photos! The trees were tall around the narrow stream, the perfect fit for a tall thin canvas, one of my favourite layouts for woodland scenes.
