The Wild Herd 78x62cm. Palette knife on board, using an impasto technique. This painting depicts 25 to 30 horses galloping towards us, crashing dramatically through shallow water. The reflections are as much part of the scene as the horses themselves, which are depicted in a semi abstract manner, the background horses merging one into the other. Power and energy abound, and the young colts in the group must keep their place and run with the herd.
