Poppy Reflections (2) 42x62cm

I always enjoy painting poppies, and in this painting they are slightly abstract and reflected as if in water. I love the way the buds hang like umbrella hooks, and the seed heads twist and turn and face upwards. The flower itself is of course nothing short of perfect, its delicate red petals almost transparent.
